DIGITAL IMPACT PRODUCT PASSPORTS
Proof lives with the product.
Every John Ian product includes a Digital Impact Product Passport — a calm interface to the receipts behind what you buy:
materials, origin, production, care, and impact handling.
We already handle the product’s emissions as part of our standard.
But we don’t hide the cost or the work — we invite you to participate:
you can choose to cover all, or parts, of the removal cost connected to your item.
Why this exists
Because trust is becoming regulated.
The world is moving from claims to evidence. Customers expect clarity. Regulators expect documentation.
A passport is where both meet — without turning the product into paperwork.
For us, the passport is not a marketing layer. It is a product layer:
the digital twin that travels with your item, and stays readable over time.
If it cannot be verified, it cannot be elevated.

Our approach
Already handled. Still visible.
John Ian products are designed and produced under a single discipline: integrity, measured.
That includes emissions accounting and impact handling — not as an add-on, but as part of the system.
The passport makes that system legible. You can see the chain — and if you want to participate,
you can contribute to the removal cost connected to your product.
Not because we need a donation — but because shared responsibility scales faster.
- Measure and document product emissions
- Connect handling to our system standard
- Publish the record in a readable passport view
- Cover all, or parts, of the removal cost
- See the linked project and evidence trail
- Keep the receipt with your product

What’s inside a passport
Five layers. One calm interface.
We keep the surface simple — and the record deep. These are the five layers you can verify, item by item.
Fibers, ingredients, and components — with sourcing context and documentation references.
Where it was made, where inputs came from, and what geography the product belongs to.
Factory or maker context, process notes, and traceable production references.
Care instructions designed to extend product life — fewer replacements, lower lifetime footprint.
Emissions accounting and handling — with an option for you to participate in removal cost.
A stable record you can revisit — not a campaign page that disappears.
A passport should feel like calm certainty — not a complicated dashboard.

Next
Scan. Verify. Participate.
Every John Ian product is handled under our standard — and every product invites you to share the cost of removal,
fully or partially, if you choose. Quiet responsibility, made practical.
Note: Participation is optional. The product record remains public and verifiable either way.
